Cushioned Acrylic Courts
Our impervious acrylic tennis court system comprises a 6mm rubber cushioning mat which is bonded and coated using textured polymers to produce a superior cushioned playing surface. The system is made up of the cushioning mat which is adhered to the required substrate. A polyurethane self-levelling wear layer is then applied over the rubber mat to create a seamless base.
The surface is finished with our durable water-based acrylic topcoats which provide great playability, consistency and resilience. The coating system offers cushioning of 3-6mm to allow true ball bounce across all court areas.
As well as being extremely durable and resistant to wear, the cushioning effect will remain constant in all weather conditions for years of use.
For additional comfort underfoot, we recommend our cushioned acrylic courts. At Sovereign Sports, we use the SurfTech® Cushion product which is an impervious cushioned acrylic tennis surface that provides excellent UV resistance and resilience.
This ITF-approved system offers additional cushioning subsurface layers from 1 to 3mm in thickness. This liquid coating provides a slip-resistant top acrylic layer that adds to its durability and weatherproofing, withstanding all types of temperatures and conditions.
