With years of experience, we have worked with schools, colleges, councils and private homes throughout the region. We are always happy to offer our expertise, so whether you are just beginning to gather information or you want to get started with construction as soon as possible, please contact us today.
Our range of surfaces
We specialise in the construction of a variety of sports surfaces including everything from tennis courts to MUGA surfaces. We have taken on building and renovation projects everywhere from private homes and schools to sports clubs and parks run by councils across East Sussex. If you’re interested in having a surface constructed we will come and carry out a no-obligation site visit to go over the area and provide you with advice and guidance.
We offer a wide range of surfaces that you can choose from:
- Porous macadam surface – this is one of our most popular surfaces and is perfect for a tennis hard court
- MUGA surfaces – MUGA stands for Multi Use Games Area; a surface that is designed to offer a playing space for multiple activities including tennis, netball, basketball and five-a-side football. We offer FIFA 1 Star equivalent 3rd generation pitches, Matchplay 2 synthetic and multisport surfaces
- Synthetic grass court – perfect for enjoying the feel of playing on grass without having the burden of maintenance that comes with real grass. Synthetic grass courts are also ideal for other sports including netball, football and hockey
- Synthetic clay court – natural clay courts are very rare in the UK, but synthetic clay offers the opportunity to play on a surface with the same characteristics
Maintenance and additional services
No matter what kind of sporting surface you have, it will require regular maintenance to keep it in the best possible condition and to meet health and safety standards. At Sovereign Sports we additionally provide a range of maintenance services for all surface types including anything from clearing courts of leaves and other biological matter to power washing. Carrying out power washing on macadam surfaces is important to prevent moss growing in the pores of the court – failing to do so can lead to a slippery surface. We also offer a specialist brooming service to improve synthetic grass courts.
We can also offer a number of additional services including:
- Installing static and retractable floodlights
- Personalised fencing
- Retaining walls
- Practice walls
- Patio areas
