Tennis Court Construction and Resurfacing Brighton

At Sovereign Sports we have many years of experience in constructing all-weather sports surfaces and tennis courts. Based in the Kent, we built a large number of courts and surfaces across the Brighton and Hove area, as well as throughout the South East. We regularly work with everyone from tennis clubs and schools to local councils and private homes, offering free quotes and honest impartial advice on the range of options available. Every sports surface we construct complies with SAPCA and LTA standards.

A choice of surfaces

Our team have many years of experience constructing many different forms of tennis court and sport surfaces. We can create everything from porous macadam hard courts and artificial grass to multi-purpose MUGA surfaces. Working alongside clubs, organisations and individuals, we would be delighted to offer our experience to your build.

With a no obligation site visit, we can assess your land and provide you with details and information on potential next steps. We then work directly with you to ensure the whole project runs smoothly. Our highly popular all-weather tennis courts could be perfect for anything from residences to clubs. While Brighton might not always have the perfect weather for a real clay court, our artificial clay provides a fantastic imitation of the surface with the added benefit of being useable even after rainfall and with far less maintenance. We are also happy to construct specific surfaces for football, hockey, golf, cricket and more.

Maintenance

We also offer a wide range of additional services including tennis court maintenance. High quality maintenance work is vital for ensuring the good condition of your court for regular play. This could involve pressure washing the court or freshening up synthetic surfaces that have been worn down through heavy use.

No matter what kind of maintenance you require, we have the skills and experience to carry it out for you.

Floodlighting

We additionally install retractable and static floodlighting for all courts and surfaces should you wish to play on them at night or during the winter evenings. Planning permission is only usually required if you are also having floodlighting columns installed. Some of our other services include landscaping, personalised fencing, practice walls, paths, patio areas, retaining walls and more.

FAQs

How much space do you need for a tennis court?

The minimum space usually required for a tournament grade tennis court is 120ft in length and 60ft in width. However, for domestic courts it is possible to build in a smaller space.

What surfaces do you offer?

In general, we offer three types of tennis court surfaces; porous macadam hard court, artificial grass and artificial clay. We can also construct a range of MUFA surfaces to your requirements.

Will I need planning permission?

In most cases there is no need to apply for planning permission unless the construction of the tennis court will mean a change of use in the land that you are using. However, you should be aware that if you wish to have floodlights put in place, these may require permission.
