Full Tennis Court Construction

Our team at Sovereign Sports construct tennis courts for clients in Bedford, as well as further afield. While the East Midlands-based city may be better known for its lace heritage, thanks to our team’s substantial experience, we have now given it a reputation for its quality of tennis courts as well.

Sovereign Sports work with Bedford’s local councils, schools, homeowners and clubs, installing all-weather sports surfaces that meet both LTA and SAPCA standards. Whatever the type of surface you are looking for, we provide each of our clients with expert advice and a no-obligation quote to streamline the decision-making process.

Here at Sovereign Sports, we have two main areas of speciality: first, constructing new courts and second, resurfacing pre-existing courts. Our tennis courts and MUGA surfaces can be found throughout the Bedford area – from family properties and council-run facilities, to sports clubs and schools.

If you would like to have a court installed at your home or building, our team would be more than happy to come out for a no-obligation site visit. During this process, we will assess the identified construction area or existing court surface, and talk you through the work that will be required.

We typically find that all-weather tennis courts are one of the most popular choices, while open textural porous macadam is the most commonly used type of surface. However, our team are equipped with the expertise to construct several other types of tennis court surfaces, such as clay or artificial grass.

If you would like to use your sports surface for more than just tennis, we can also install surfaces that are more suited to other types of sport, like hockey, netball or football.

Our team understand how important it is for playing surfaces to be kept in good condition, so we offer a dedicated maintenance service to ensure they stay looking great. This mainly involves sweeping courts clean of leaves, litter and debris, power washing surfaces, and freshening up synthetic grass surfaces with our bespoke brooming service. We also revisit and respray each surface every five to six years to keep them looking in tip-top condition.

We can install retractable and static floodlighting on all types of tennis court. While you may need to acquire planning permission beforehand, our team can help walk you through the process to ensure this doesn’t pose any issues.

Having floodlighting available is vital if you are looking to use your tennis court on darker evenings. Likewise, bespoke fencing, practice walls, and pretty much any other form of landscaping, can be great additions which make your court more playable. They are all also additional services we can provide you with here at Sovereign Sports.
